Sunny (cloudy) Dublin

Hello again!

It’s been a long time, I hope life is treating you well!

Everything is great here and as I told you, sometimes IT IS sunny in Dublin!! I get really excited, put sunscreen on, sunglasses, bikini (not really) and go make the most of every precious sunshine! And then it gets cloudy.. Then sunny again.. Then cloudy.. :op

I do miss putting my bikini on, heading to the beach and spending the day lying on the sand, swimming, roasting on a 40ºC day.. Anyway summer is coming, it’s getting warmer and soon we will have some nice e completely sunny 20ºC days! Yaaay!

For now we just keep our jackets on, and enjoy the walk and the view! (And take pictures)

This is Clontarf Seafront, very different from the beaches in Brazil, cold but really beautiful and peaceful! My favourite place to go on sunny/cloudy days. :oD

What about you, what’s your favourite place on days like that?

Love,

C.

Wanna a cup of tea?

And here I am again.

How is life?

Well, life here is good (apart from the rain and wind that I have to fight on a daily basis) and it’s even better indoors!

Yeah, it’s not always sunny in Dublin (sometimes it is).. But honestly, I do appreciate a day off, nice and warm at home, doing nothing! And a cup of (Irish) tea makes it even more enjoyable!

In Brazil, if somebody offers you a cup of tea, they will ask you what flavour you want: camomile, mint, red fruit for example.. In Ireland you get tea, period.

That’s it, black tea usually with milk, people love it, and now I love it! In the morning or after a meal.. In Brazil tea with milk is not very common, after meals we usually have a lil coffee (and when I say a little, I mean it.. something around 50ml) #cafezinho

They also have tea for tea at tea time here, which is in the evening and people have their tea with a sandwich, a scone (a lil wheat or oatmeal cake) or biscuits sometimes.

People say that you know a person well when you can make a tea to their taste.

And the other day I heard somebody saying: “football is not really my cup of tea” (meaning they didn’t like football) It’s an idiom and you can also say that something you like IS your cup of tea!

Yeah I know, a lot of tea..   And mine is getting cold..

So, I’ll go enjoy my cup of tea and let you enjoy the photos!

Love, C.

Our Bday Trip

Hello.

Anyone there?

Well, as this is my first post I don’t really expect a lot of people to read it.. Anyway, I’ve been away from photography for a while but it’s a new year (well, still only February) and my “astrologic hell” is over (that’s something we say in Portuguese, it’s basically the 30 days before your birthday when you tend to feel very vulnerable and confused and to think and re-think about what you are doing with your life..), so here I am with something new!

I’m gonna start talking about this little trip my boyfriend gave me as my (and his) bday present: we went to this beautiful, old and cozy Castle/Hotel (some people say it’s haunted, but thank god I didn’t see anything), I felt like I was in a movie there! Everything there was so beautiful and inspiring and I had so many ideas for photos, it re-lighted the photography flame inside me.

I fell in love with the bathroom and had loads of ideas of pictures in that bath, OMG.. But unfortunately we didn’t have time to produce them, and besides I still need to finish his photography lessons.

We went for a walk and it was so cold outside, my hands were freezing because I couldn’t wear gloves as I was taking pictures.. But it was defo worth it.

He made a friend there (#blackcat), a cute and needy cat that followed us all the way..

We had delicious coffee indoors while we waited for it to stop raining..

Later we went to the Dungeon Bar and enjoyed a lil bit of traditional Irish music, pints and delicious goujons and chips (btw, that’s a new passion in my life, I never really cared for fries for example, but goodness me, it’s amazing what they make out of potatoes here).

Overall, a lovely way to start my new year and my blog.

Love,

C.
