Isn’t nature so perfect?
I’ve always known that breastmilk is everything babies need for their first 6 months, it contains essential enzymes, hormones and immunoglobulins that are vital for babies normal growth, development and good health throughout their whole life and it protects babies against a wide variety of illness and conditions. 👶
In Brazil I used to see women breastfeeding in public places all the time, all mothers I know breastfeed or breastfed their babies, it is natural, it is normal..
I’ve learnt recently that Ireland has one of the lowest breastfeeding rates in the world 😲
And I have to confess that I was a bit shocked.. And wanted to do something to help change this.
Then I met Janelle, this beautiful mammy who wanted breastfeeding photographs taken as she is very proud to be breastfeeding 💚 I fell in love with her photos and the idea for this project was born 😍
I wanted to make this bigger, so I photographed another 5 breastfeeding mammies to support the project.
I will make a different video highlighting the importance of breastfeeding with the photos from each photo session 😊

I have always loved photographing people.
During the last 10 years (maybe 11, kinda lost count) I’ve photographed a bit of Fashion, Show, Plays, Events, some Families a lot Portraits (which I’ve always known I loved)..
I think that now I am at that stage when you see babies everywhere (my facebook feed is full of babies 😂) and you find them all so cute and you the see the love in their mother’s eyes when looking at them and you start to understand what motherhood is about and that there is love in even an everyday shower in the sink or in changing your baby’s nappy and making them feel comfortable and clean 💚
These are some of the reasons why I am sooooo in love with Family Photography, I see a love story in every interaction and it just makes sense 😊
I love this session, Janelle is proud to be breastfeeding and wanted some memories for Reuben who going to be 1 this month 🎂

I really like this bright red trend.. ❤️
Personally, I usually go for neutral colours, I’m always afraid of getting sick of intense colours and patterns and I am always trying to not let fashion trends carry me away..
This season is just being so full of reds everywhere, every shop, on the streets, and even here, I asked Cathy to pick some of her favourite winter outfits and here she is, in this beautiful RED jumper 😂
As I said in this post New Year, New Style I am changing a bit my photography style, bringing some different colours to it 😉
So, about Cathy and her outfit.. she actually started with the shoes! She saw these cute and fun limited edition “Don’t Care” shoes and bought them right away, she added the socks to make it even cuter 😍 Then she picked the jumper because it is super cosy for the cold weather and she is also obsessed with red ❤️ and finally the stripy trousers to add another bit of fun!
P.s. In December I was tempted to buy a bright red jumper.. but kept telling myself “No, it’s too bright, you will wear it once, twice and never again.. and you don’t need any more clothes”
And I resisted.. Until yesterday! 😲

As a photographer, I’ve always liked to have control of the light, to pose the models, to try create scenes and make them “look real”.
That worked well for me for a long time.. the past few years I was just not 100% happy with my photos anymore, something was missing.. 😕
Until now.. I am discovering a whole new exciting world in documentary photography, life as it is is way more interesting than posed life.
So, my friend, who is a great cook (better than me at least hahahah) invited me for lunch at his place, and I decided to take my camera with me.. 📸
While he was preparing our meal, I took some snaps, trying to not interfere so much on the way he was doing his thing and at the same time, to make him comfortable with a camera pointed at him..
I really like what we both did! 😍 My snaps of a lovely and real afternoon and his food (was delicious) 😋
And some coffee after all that food 😊

I’ve been rethinking this project, I was very excited in the beginning but after a while it lost its sparkle and made me go look for new challenges..
2017 was a very intense year, I went to Brazil, changed jobs, planned a wedding, got married, lost my full time job and decided to go back to being a full time photographer.
I have changed, and consequently these changes will reflect on my photos.
This is my most recent photo shoot for Our Closet, new outfit, new photography style.. I kinda feel like this is more the direction I want to go.. 🙃
Anyway, this is Cathy and she fell in love with this jumper because of the big pops of red which is one of her fav colours at the moment (that btw is THE colour of the moment ❤️) and she knew it would go great with her red skirt!

I’ve been working on my new website for the last few weeks and I’m so happy I can finally say, it’s READY!! 😃

I know I haven’t posted here in a loooooog while.. but I’m sure you can imagine how crazy it is to plan a wedding and work full time at the same time.. There is a LOT to plan for that one big day, more than I would have imagined.. but anyway, I made it and the day was even more amazing than I would have thought it would be 😍
I got married in Kinnitty Castle Hotel – County Offaly, there is something about it there that is just magical ✨ BTW, That was the place that made me start this blog! And that made me love photography again 💚 See my very first post here “OUR BDAY TRIP” 😊
I plan to share here some of the things I learnt during these last 14 months, and specially the last 4 intense months of planning.
But for now, I just wanna say a big thank to all the people that made my big day so special..

Megan saw this dress in a vintage shop and immediately fell in love with it! 😍
The floral print is beautiful, very summery and its short sleeves let her show off her tattoos!
She bought it to wear with her fishnets and the shoes she treated herself to, after doing so well in her college exams! 😊
“My brother was moving to Scotland and I got this outfit for his going away party, but the first time I wore it was actually for this photoshoot, as the party only happened a week later” 😂
Her bracelet says “Megan” and is her baby bracelet, a gift her older sis gave her and she has been wearing it since she was only 2 weeks old 😲 It still fits her, I think that’s amazing!
And her sunnies are actually her younger sister’s (that by the way, will be here soon too) they swapped them because they decided their own would match the other’s outfit better! Typical sisters 😎

Martha always wears what she likes and likes what she wears! 😉
This is a nightgown, but she doesn’t care! What matters is that it looks really nice with her favourite skinny jeans!
She first wore it when she was moving house and hosting a house ‘cooling’ party.
“It felt lovely swishing around the house topping up everyones prosecco in it!” 🍾
She loves red and when she wears red clothes and lipstick she gets loads of random passersby serenading her with “lady in red” and it makes her smile 😊
Now, this camera bag has to be the cutest thing ever! She saw it in a fashion magazine and specifically went on the hunt to get it 📷
“It holds next to nothing and often turns upside down, spilling all my goods on the ground.. but who cares when it looks this cute!” 😍
